Tsaritsyn Pickles LLC is one of the fastest-growing companies in the Volgograd region. Founded in 2016, it has become one of the top five largest manufacturers of canned vegetables and marinades in Russia in nine years. Today, Tsaritsyn Pickles works with major national and local retail chains and distributors. The company is a leader in the private label (PL) segment. The company began developing export activities in 2018. First, it conducted a detailed analysis of foreign markets to understand the preferences of international buyers. They then adapted recipes and packaging design to meet international market requirements. Over time, the company regularly participated in international exhibitions and fairs and established relationships with distributors and retail chains abroad.
Collaboration with Volgograd Region Export Support Center and Russian Export Center (REC, VEB Group), in particular obtaining the Made in Russia certificate, played a significant role in the company's successful entry into international markets. Company's employees completed training on the Export Growth Accelerator program, and active use of My Export platform increased the efficiency of its export activities and helped it better navigate international market demands. Through My Export, the company received useful analytics on markets and potential buyers, as well as information on exhibitions and business missions, which help it find new partners.
In recent years, Tsaritsyn Pickles has been actively developing online sales through marketplaces and other digital channels. This has helped expand its distribution geography. Currently, approximately 20% of its products are exported to CIS countries and neighboring countries, namely Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, and Georgia. The company also exports to Estonia, Israel, and China. Plans are underway to expand sales to Asian countries.
