Novosibirsk-based VAKIO received a Made in Russia certificate for its supply and exhaust air recuperators

December 3, 2025
Siberian VAKIO (headquartered in Novosibirsk), specializing in energy-efficient ventilation systems, received a Made in Russia certificate in the Reliability category from Russian Export Center (REC, VEB Group) for its flagship household recuperators.
Founded in 2016, VAKIO initially focused on creating ventilation systems adapted to the Russian climate. A significant milestone was the decision to fully localize production in 2023, culminating in the acquisition of a 3,000-square-meter production facility in 2024–2025. Today, over 80% of production processes are concentrated in-house. This, along with a team of developers and designers, allows VAKIO to provide a full cycle—from design to service—and introduce up to four new devices to the market annually. The company holds seven patents for its innovative developments.
The Made in Russia certificate was issued to a key product: a supply and exhaust ventilation system with heat recovery. This device, featuring a patented airflow adjustment mechanism, is designed to provide comfortable air exchange in regions with extremely low temperatures.
VAKIO's export began with sporadic, ad hoc deliveries in 2017. However, by 2019, with the acquisition of a reliable partner in Kazakhstan, export activities were established. Today, VAKIO products are supplied to Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, and Serbia, with the highest demand in Kazakhstan. The company plans to strengthen its position in the CIS and expand into new markets in the Middle East and Southeast Asia.
The particular interest in VAKIO products is confirmed not only by official contracts but also by private inquiries coming from the most unexpected corners of the world—from North Korea to New Zealand, Norway, Cyprus, Canada, and the United States. This broad geographic reach proves that Russian energy-efficient ventilation solutions are in demand worldwide due to combination of technology, energy efficiency, and affordability.
Collaboration with Russian Export Center began in 2018 and became a catalyst for systematic export development. Previously, the company faced high costs associated with independently finding partners and participating in exhibitions.
VAKIO actively utilizes the REC's analytical and consulting services, and in 2024, company representatives completed the Export Mini-MBA program by the REC School of Export . The program aims to streamline and improve the efficiency of international trade by completing the full cycle of developing and implementing export business plan. This enabled the company to develop a systematic approach to foreign trade, create a full-time foreign trade department, and receive consultations on entering the markets of Azerbaijan, Vietnam, and Türkiye. Furthermore, since 2019, the company has been actively using My Export digital platform to interact with the Center for Export Expertise and experts. VAKIO specialists have repeatedly used the Navigator for Market Barriers and Requirements, Finding Foreign Buyers, and Finding Partners and Organizing Negotiations tools.
The Made in Russia certificate is of strategic importance for the company.
"We are proud to be a Russian manufacturer and hold a certificate confirming that our products are manufactured in Russia. For us, Made in Russia is not just a quality mark, but a recognition of the reliability, responsibility, and strength of Russian business. May VAKIO be with you!" company's management.
VAKIO hopes the bird mark will become a symbol of trust and technological maturity, significantly increasing the confidence of foreign partners and facilitating entry into new markets. The certificate confirms that the equipment has undergone independent evaluation and meets high reliability standards, which is critical for further strengthening the company's position as a high-tech Russian developer and manufacturer.
"It's safe to say that REC support helps companies manage export projects more effectively, minimize financial risks, and strengthen their positions in the international market, which significantly accelerates their growth and increases their competitiveness abroad," Elena Bragova, Head of REC office in Novosibirsk.
She added that the company is incorporating insurance instruments and plans to expand its export geography, including through the use of the program to promote Russian products under the Made in Russia national brand.
Russian Export Center (REC, VEB Group) is a government institution that supports non-resource, non-energy export. It provides companies from various industries with both financial and non-financial assistance at all stages of entering international markets, including as part of the International Cooperation and Export national project. Most services offered by the REC Group are available online on My Export digital platform. REC is also responsible for the key functions of supporting and implementing the Made in Russia program.
