Kamila Valieva, silver medalist of the Russian Figure Skating Championship, world junior champion and holder of world records, will be a special guest of the Made in Russia festival and fair in Beijing. The event will be held from August 28 to 30 in the Central Business District of Beijing, in the Solana Shopping Park. The festival and fair are timed to coincide with the celebration of Chinese Valentine's Day (Qixi, August 29), which has long been transformed from a traditional holiday of love into a large-scale sales festival, where Chinese consumers actively celebrate it by purchasing a huge number of goods. The event is organized by Russian Export Center (REC, VEB Group) with the support of the Governments of Russia and China.
The Made in Russia festival and fair will be launched on August 28. It will start with an exclusive ice show with the participation of the figure skater. Kamila Valieva's presence will highlight the importance of cultural and business exchange between Russia and China, and will also attract additional attention to Russian brands and products presented at the venue.
Kamila's participation in the events of the Made in Russia festival and fair, held as part of the program to promote domestic export, implemented by Russian Export Center, is no coincidence. The figure skater is very popular in China. Locals are fascinated by her talent and artistry and gave her a nickname K-Bao ("baby", "treasure") using it with a hashtag in Chinese social networks.
"I am happy to announce that I will take part in the grand opening of the Made in Russia festival and fair in Beijing. This is an important event aimed at promoting the national brand in China, and a great opportunity to meet my dear fans, whose support always helps me move forward. See you at the festival on August 28!", Kamila Valieva.
The Made in Russia program demonstrates the unique qualities of domestic manufacturers' products: environmental friendliness, reliability and innovation, adding value to the domestic quality mark in international markets. The participation of a world-class athlete in such a large-scale event will become a symbol of Russia's strength, talent and competitiveness, strengthening mutual trust and cooperation between the two countries.
The festival will bring together more than 40 companies from 26 regions of Russia. More than 500 SKUs of food products, cosmetics, souvenirs, and folk crafts will be presented in Beijing. Guests of the event will be able to try and buy products and get acquainted with Russian traditions.
Popular Chinese bloggers will stream right from the festival. Thanks to this, millions of viewers in China will be able to get acquainted with Russian goods and immediately purchase them in online Made in Russia stores on local marketplaces.
The festival guests will also enjoy a diverse cultural program. Performances by the best folk groups, national music and dances will create a festive atmosphere and make it a notable event in the life of Beijing.
It’s worth noting that Russian Export Center has already held five Made in Russia festivals and fairs in China. The first event was held in Shenyang and Dalian (Liaoning Province) on the eve of the Chinese New Year in 2024, the second in May in Harbin (Heilongjiang Province), and the third in November in Chengdu (Sichuan Province). In 2025, the festival was also successfully held in Shenyang and Harbin.
