On August 29, a regional promotional point of the Russian National Pavilion and a retail store under the Made in Russia brand opened in Tianjin, China. The project was implemented by Russian Export Center (REC, VEB Group) as part of a program to promote domestic products abroad.
The event took place as part of the festival and fair of the same name, which is taking place from August 28-30 in Beijing and includes retail sales of Russian goods, cultural events, and a business program for Russian and Chinese companies.
The store and exhibition area, covering over 200 square meters, will feature over 1,000 SKUs from over 100 Russian manufacturers. A wide range of Russian products is available for purchase, including confectionery, dairy products, groceries, and household chemicals.
"The opening of the store in Tianjin is part of a program to open a network of Made in Russia brand stores throughout China and promote Russian goods in this large market. We are creating additional distribution channels and helping businesses enter international markets. Now, more and more Chinese consumers can directly appreciate the quality of Russian goods," Alexey Solodov, Vice President, Russian Export Center.
Store opening was part of the Organization and Development of Retail Stores (Shelves) for Russian Made in Russia Products in Foreign Countries program and the expansion of the Russian National Pavilion project in China. Seventeen retail outlets are already operating under the Made in Russia and Russian National Pavilion brands in China.
These pavilions are available in six countries, namely in China, Vietnam, the UAE, Egypt, Türkiye, and Saudi Arabia. Russian companies selected to participate in the pavilion program receive support from Russian Export Center in finding partners, promoting and organizing sales, and other assistance necessary for organizing supplies.
