Beijing to host Made in Russia festival and fair on the occasion of Chinese Valentine's Day

August 6, 2025
From August 28 to 30, the Made in Russia festival and fair will be held in the Central Business District of Beijing, in the Solana Shopping Park, to coincide with the celebration of Chinese Valentine's Day (Qixi , August 29). The event is organized by Russian Export Center (REC, VEB Group) with the support of the Governments of Russia and China.

The festival will bring together more than 40 companies from 26 regions of Russia. More than 500 SKUs of food products, cosmetics, souvenirs, and folk crafts will be presented in Beijing. Guests of the event will be able to try and buy products, learn about Russian traditions, and also talk to a special guest of the festival.

At the fair site, REC will organize targeted b2b negotiations with leading Chinese importers and distributors for domestic businesses. The business program of the fair will create new opportunities for promoting Russian products and concluding export contracts.

During the festival, popular Chinese bloggers will hold streams. Thus, millions of viewers across China will be able to get acquainted with Russian goods and immediately purchase them in online Made in Russia stores on local marketplaces.

"Russian companies have serious export potential in China. They value quality, eco-friendliness and naturalness, everything that distinguishes Russian brands. The fair in Beijing continues a series of successful Made in Russia festivals, which over the past year have been held in Dalian, Chengdu, Harbin, Shenyang and demonstrated a keen interest in Made in Russia among Chinese partners and consumers," Veronika Nikishina, General Director, Russian Export Center.

During the Beijing festival and fair, the first two official Made in Russia retail stores in the region will open, featuring the best products from Russian manufacturers, from organic food to consumer goods. A few days before the festival, on August 16, a similar store will open in Shanghai.

A rich cultural program will be offered to festival guests. Performances by folk groups, national music and dances will create a festive atmosphere and help organize a notable event.

The Made in Russia festivals and fairs are held as part of the program to promote Russian products under the umbrella brand. The program is coordinated by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade as part of the International Cooperation and Export national project, and is implemented by Russian Export Center. Since 2017, the program has helped Russian companies to make a name for themselves abroad, expand their sales markets, and gain the trust of foreign consumers.

The effectiveness of such events has been repeatedly emphasized at the highest level. In particular, during the meeting of the leaders of the two countries, Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping, in May 2025 in Moscow, it was noted that the Made in Russia festivals and fairs play an important role in expanding the range of Russian products exported to the Chinese market.
