The Russian Export Center (REC, VEB.RF Group) has developed an exporter's code of ethics for companies that have undergone voluntary certification under the Made in Russia program. The document reflects the core values and principles of doing business that will help win the hearts of domestic and foreign consumers.
"By adopting the Code, we want to remind companies that their daily decisions shape the business reputation of Russian companies, and they determine how our products are perceived in Russia and abroad," said Veronika Nikishina, CEO of the Russian Export Center, in an interview with Russia 24 TV channel.
The Code is prepared in the form of a declaration and reflects the principles of business social responsibility. It is a handbook for organizations whose products (works, services) have been certified in the voluntary certification system "Made in Russia".
According to the Code, certificate holders are obliged to strictly comply with the legislation of the Russian Federation and international standards, take their contractual obligations responsibly, guarantee that products (services) meet the declared characteristics, prevent any manifestations of corruption, comply with regulatory requirements for environmental protection and natural resource management, and protect confidential data received from customers (clients).
To become a member of the program, you need to submit an application for certification and confirm that your product or service meets one of five criteria: environmental friendliness, organic origin, reliability, uniqueness, or quality.
The certificate is issued free of charge within 15 days of submitting all the necessary documents in accordance with the Rules for the Functioning of the Made in Russia Voluntary Certification System.
The Russian Export Center (REC, VEB.RF Group) is a state-owned institution that supports non-commodity non-energy exports. It provides both financial and non-financial assistance to companies from various industries at all stages of entering international markets, including as part of the International Cooperation and Export National Project. Most of the services offered by the REC Group are available online on the state digital platform "My Export." The REC Group's Export School provides training on all aspects of export activities. The REC is also responsible for ensuring and implementing the Made in Russia program.
