As part of cultural cooperation between Russia and Türkiye, the Mülkiyeliler Birliği cultural community, together with the Russian House in Ankara, organized a summer retrospective of Soviet films.
One of the highlights was the screening of the legendary comedy Afonya by Georgy Danelia, accompanied by a tasting of Russian products from the Russian national pavilion supported by Russian Export Center (REC, VEB Group) in Türkiye.
At the event, guests were able to get acquainted with the diversity of Russian tastes: more than 15 manufacturers presented their products, including traditional and modern brands. Among the tasting hits are Afanasy refreshing kvass from a private brewery, Drive chips, pine nuts in honey by TKF, Saratov Lavr aromatic spices, MV FOOD sauces and Lunskoye More seafood.
Of particular interest were natural products such as crispbreads, herbal drinks and confectionery, which are already familiar to Turkish audience.
Thanks to the campaign, the operator of the Russian national pavilion successfully implemented key tasks to strengthen trust in Russian brands in Türkiye, directly interact with consumers and promote products preparing to enter the market.
The parties agreed on further cooperation. Thus, joint events aimed at popularizing Russian goods through cultural and gastronomic events are planned for the end of the year.
"Soviet films and Russian products create an ideal combination for cultural exchange. This is an opportunity to talk about Russia through art, trust and gastronomy," event organizers.
Already in the autumn, preparations will begin for new projects that unite cinema and taste traditions of the two countries.
