A SHOP OF RUSSIAN GOODS HAS OPENED IN SHANGHAI'S LARGEST MALL

December 22, 2025
On December 20, 2025, a retail store under the national brand "Made in Russia" was opened in Shanghai. The store was opened by Shanghai Pinyinong Electronic Commerce Co., Ltd., a regional partner of the Russian National Pavilion, with the support of the Russian Export Center (REC, VEB.RF Group). "The Russian National Pavilions program is expanding steadily. While the initial focus was on food products, this year we have started offering industrial products and services from Russian companies. This allows us to showcase the modern image of Russia to our Chinese partners, from traditional food products to advanced technologies," said Alexey Solodov, Vice President of the Russian Export Center, at the opening ceremony. He recalled that the new store of Russian goods is the third one in Shanghai. Today, there are more than 120 retail outlets in China selling products under the Made in Russia brand, including stores and dedicated shelves in existing retail outlets. The Russian Export Center, together with the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, is opening such retail outlets under the umbrella brand Made in Russia around the world as part of the national project International Cooperation and Export. In the tasting area, the event guests appreciated the quality of Russian chocolate, sweets, confectionery, honey, flour, vegetable oil, mineral water, juices, beer, and vodka. They also had access to samples of the best Russian cosmetics and household chemicals. The event's extensive cultural program included a dance show and a demonstration of Russian architecture, art, and literature. In the private part of the event, Russian business representatives held individual B2B meetings with potential partners from China. The opening ceremony was attended by officials: a representative of the Russian Export Center in China, a representative of the Ministry of Agriculture, representatives of the Russian diplomatic mission in China, and representatives of Chinese government agencies. Among the honored guests were leading Russian exporters: representatives of United Confectioners, Komos-Group, and EkoNiva, as well as the heads of other companies whose products are presented in the store. The Russian Export Center (REC, VEB.RF Group) is a state-owned institution that supports non-commodity non-energy exports. It provides both financial and non-financial assistance to companies from various industries at all stages of entering international markets, including as part of the International Cooperation and Export National Project. Most of the services offered by the REC Group are available online on the state digital platform "My Export." The REC Group's Export School provides training on all aspects of export activities. The REC is also responsible for ensuring and implementing the Made in Russia program.
