Velikoluksky Cable Plant (VLKZ LLC), Pskov region, is a stable and actively developing manufacturer of cable and wire products, operating on the market for over 20 years. In 2023, the plant carried out a deep modernization with new equipment, which allowed expanding the range to more than 2000 cable and wire grades. The enterprise successfully passed the Made in Russia certification in the uniqueness category for a utility model that combined the latest developments in the field of compounds, and received a confirming document from Russian Export Center (REC, VEB.RF Group).
This product has a wide range of applications due to its characteristics: high resistance to ultraviolet radiation, frost resistance and non-flammability. Flexibility of the cable is achieved by using a copper conductive core of flexibility class 6. Due to these characteristics, the cable is in demand in such industries as electric power engineering, construction, production and repair of automotive and special equipment, as well as in the manufacture of welding equipment, control cabinets, automation and lighting systems.
VLKZ LLC started export activities in 2013. Today, the company steadily supplies products to Belarus and Kazakhstan. One of the key competitive advantages of the plant is the use of Russian-made components, which ensures uninterrupted supplies and allows reducing costs by up to 69% compared to European analogues.
"Our success in export markets is based on the uniqueness of our products, flexibility in approaching customers and focusing on their needs. We are actively developing cooperation with Russian Export Center, and in 2025 we began using My Export digital platform to optimize foreign economic activity, including finding foreign partners," Yuri Vlasyuk, Deputy General Director, VLKZ LLC.
The plant plans to expand its export geography, including entering the markets of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, with which negotiations are already underway.
The Made in Russia program is designed to confirm the integrity of the domestic manufacturer as a reliable supplier of quality products. The certificate gives the right to use the conformity mark, a tricolor bird, which helps increase brand recognition and build consumer loyalty.
In addition to confirming high quality and reliability, participation in the Made in Russia program provides access to a wide range of REC support measures, including entering international electronic trading platforms, access to inquiries from foreign buyers, participation in international exhibitions and business missions, as well as general state support for export activities.
