REC and ASI signed a cooperation agreement to support growing Russian brands

On June 20, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Russian Export Center (REC, VEB.RF Group) and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI). Its main goal is to identify, support, and develop the export potential of participants in the We are the greatest competition for growing Russian brands, as well as to involve them in the Made in Russia national brand program. The document was signed by REC CEO Veronika Nikishina and ASI CEO Svetlana Chupsheva.

"This agreement marks a new stage in the development of domestic brands and their entry into international markets. The joint efforts of REC and ASI will strengthen an effective support system that will help Russian companies unlock their export potential and become recognized globally," Veronika Nikishina, REC CEO.

Special attention is paid to a comprehensive assessment of participants' applications in the competition to identify export-oriented companies, develop their potential, and provide support from REC. Jointly, they plan to organize conferences, meetings, and pitch sessions where participants can present their projects, receive expert evaluation, and establish business contacts.

"Today, it is especially important to combine the efforts of the state and business to realize export potential of Russian brands, and together with REC, we strive to be partners for those who are ready to present Russian products abroad," Svetlana Chupsheva, ASI CEO.

ASI takes on a key role in informing and advising competition participants, as well as assisting in organizing venues for pitch sessions at major business events in Russia. In addition, ASI is responsible for collecting, processing, and verifying participant questionnaires, subsequently transferring them to Russian Export Center. A significant part of the agency's work will be regularly informing brands about opportunities to participate in the Made in Russia program, including voluntary certification and promotion of products in international markets under the national brand.

REC, in turn, guarantees timely informing of exporters about the conditions and stages of the We are the greatest competition, evaluating questionnaires to identify export potential, and transferring information about the most promising companies to ASI.

Russian brands with the greatest export potential, as assessed by REC, will receive comprehensive support for entering international markets, including within the framework of the Made in Russia program.

The winners of the competition will receive a unique opportunity to become honored guests of the plenary session of the Made in Russia forum. They will be assigned personal managers who will develop individual export development plans, ensuring targeted support and guidance on the path to strengthening the position of Russian exports in the global arena.
