Russia and Indonesia held a friendly Made in Russia badminton match

On June 19, a friendly Made in Russia badminton competition was successfully held with the participation of business representatives and professional athletes. The event was organized by Russian Export Center (REC, VEB.RF Group) together with the National Badminton Federation of Russia as part of the sports program of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The competition is held on the territory of the Territory of Sport complex in St. Petersburg.

The international Russia-Indonesia match was opened by Petr Zaselsky, Chairman of the Board of EKSIMBANK OF RUSSIA (REC Group), Andrey Antropov, President of the National Badminton Federation of Russia, Taufik Hidayat, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia, Olympic badminton champion, and Mohammad Fadil Imran, Chairman of the Indonesian Badminton Association, General Commissioner, Head of the National Police Security Agency.

14 athletes, divided into "professional + amateur" pairs, took part in the friendly match. The games were played in a round-robin system in a simplified format – each match lasted 15 minutes. Participants were Dmitry Klimenko, a professional player of the Russian national badminton team, Petr Zaselsky, Chairman of the Board of EKSIMBANK, Dmitry Sychev, a Russian football star, as well as Indonesian athletes Raymond Indra and Yohanes Saut Marcellino. International competitions between the teams of Russia and Indonesia will continue on June 20.

"Sport is one of Russia's key competitive advantages, recognized and loved worldwide. It is noteworthy that the principles of sport and export are largely similar: in global competition, success accompanies the strongest. We are convinced that combining efforts in promoting Russian products, the Made in Russia national brand, and such significant components of the country's image as sport, culture, and art, will create a powerful synergistic effect. This will not only increase the recognition of Russian goods and brands abroad but also become a solid foundation for the development of international partnerships," Petr Zaselsky, Chairman of the Board of EKSIMBANK OF RUSSIA (REC Group).

This year, Indonesia is widely represented at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto arrived in St. Petersburg, accompanied by Zulkifli Hasan, Coordinating Minister for Food Security Affairs, Sugiono, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bahlil Lahadalia, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Brian Yuliarto, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology, and Andi Amran Sulaiman, Minister of Agriculture.

Recall that in April this year, Russian Export Center opened an official representative office in the capital of Indonesia, Jakarta. It is headed by Vadim Varaksin. The representative office is a link between Russian and Indonesian companies, providing comprehensive support at every stage of export transactions.

The Made in Russia program is aimed at promoting domestic goods and services in foreign markets, increasing their competitiveness and recognition. It includes marketing support, participation in international exhibitions, assistance in certification and logistics, as well as access to financial instruments. Its goal is to increase the volume of Russian exports and strengthen the positions of Russian manufacturers on the global market. The program is coordinated by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia within the framework of the International Cooperation and Export national project, and the main functions for ensuring and implementing the program are assigned to REC.
