REC and the Smolensk Region are to strengthen the promotion of the Made in Russia national brand "

Russian Export Center (REC, VEB Group) and the Smolensk Region signed a licensing agreement to cooperate in promoting the Made in Russia national brand and using REC trademarks. This is the first agreement of such a kind between the REC and the region.

The document will expand opportunities to promote domestic products abroad and strengthen national brand awareness. The Smolensk Region Export Support Center will be authorized to use the Made in Russia brand on information resources, at international exhibitions and fairs, and at other public events.

"Promoting the Made in Russia national brand is a strategic objective directly linked to strengthening the position of domestic businesses in the global market. For the Smolensk Region, participation in this program is not just an opportunity to establish itself, but also a chance for our companies to find new partners and enter new markets. Twenty-one Smolensk companies have already joined the Made in Russia promotion program," Vasily Anokhin, Smolensk Region Governor.

Back in November 2024, Russian Export Center (REC) and the Smolensk Region signed an agreement simplifying the process for businesses to obtain certificates. Thanks to this agreement, companies holding Made in Smolensk certificates from Export Support Center can now obtain Made in Russia certificates from REC.

"We believe it's crucial that regions actively join the federal program to promote the national brand. Only through joint efforts can we create a truly strong image for domestic products and strengthen Russia's position in the global market," Veronika Nikishina, General Director, Russian Export Center.

The Made in Russia program is being implemented as part of the International Cooperation and Export national project. It is coordinated by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Russian Export Center is responsible for the program's implementation and delivery. In 2025, the Government, at the instruction of the President, adopted an updated Made in Russia program, which expanded the range of tools for promoting Russian products abroad.

Since 2022, thanks to the program's activities, over 3,700 companies have been able to increase their visibility, find partners and buyers, and gain a foothold in foreign markets. Export contracts worth over 420 billion rubles have been signed.
