Russian Export Center (REC, VEB.RF Group) held a strategic session to further develop and scale the Made in Russia program. Andrey Purtov, well-known marketing and strategy consultant, was the key speaker of the event. The goal of the discussion was to develop innovative approaches to promoting domestic goods and services designed to effectively convey their unique advantages to a global audience and ensure further growth of the country's non-resource exports.
Andrey Purtov, who has extensive experience and is the curator of the Marketing and Brand Management program at the British Higher School of Art and Design, Director of MBA Transformation at RANEPA, and visiting professor at Lomonosov Moscow State University, Academy of Management at FEFU, Institute of Business Administration at RANEPA, and Skolkovo School of Management, brought his expert view to the discussion. The session examined in detail the value propositions of the Made in Russia brand. Participants focused on identifying and enhancing properties of Russian products that make them competitive and attractive in international markets.
Large-scale promotion of Russian export under the national brand was initiated by the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin at the Presidium of the State Council on September 25, 2024. In pursuance of instructions, a program for the promotion of Russian products abroad under the Made in Russia national brand for the period up to 2030 was approved by Order No. 450-r of February 26, 2025. From this year the program has become part of the International cooperation and Export national project.
"The Made in Russia program is our strategy to strengthen the positions of Russian companies on the global stage. Its goal is not only to gain the trust of foreign buyers through the "umbrella effect", but also to unite the efforts of businesses, government agencies and development institutions. We strive to improve visibility of Russian products as much as possible by creating new distribution channels and forming a sustainable infrastructure for promotion in foreign markets, demonstrating the high quality and uniqueness of our products," Tatyana An, Vice President, Russian Export Center.
