Coffee, buckwheat and oil from Russian manufacturers win the trust of buyers in Egypt
Domestic food manufacturers are confidently conquering the Egyptian market with the Russian National Demonstration and Tasting Pavilion opened by Russian Export Center (REC, VEB.RF Group) in Cairo to promote products under the Made in Russia brand.
REC provides support to companies-residents of the pavilion in promoting themselves in the retail and trade chains of Egypt, and also helps them find business partners to launch regular deliveries to Egypt and other countries of the Middle East and North Africa.
For example, EFKO-Kaskad has been promoting oil and fat products through a pavilion in Egypt since 2023. In 2025, Ekoslice margarine for puff pastry entered the market, which prevents layers of dough from sticking together, gives products a creamy taste and aroma, as well as a golden color. This margarine has significant export potential not only in Egypt, but also throughout the African continent.
Also in May 2025, with the assistance of the pavilion, a new batch of Sloboda sunflower oil was delivered to large Egyptian chains and online stores, including Metro, Spinneys Egypt, Oscar, Fresh Food, Fathallah Market.
Buckwheat is of great interest to Egyptians. With the support of the pavilion, a batch of buckwheat from the Mayak PKF entered the local market, attracting customers who prefer healthy and nutritious food. Products made from environmentally friendly grain grown in the Rostov Region, Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories can be purchased in more than 10 of the country's largest supermarkets and online stores.
Russian coffee is also strengthening its position in Egypt. In the spring, another batch of Jardin coffee from ORIMI EXPORT appeared on the shelves of local stores. Consumers value Russian coffee as a premium product of high quality and are interested in participating in promotions organized by the pavilion.
The Russian national pavilion continues to actively promote products under the Made in Russia brand and contribute to the development of Russian food exports to Egypt, helping Russian brands enter the local market and introduce buyers to new high-quality products from Russia.
The successful holding of the event confirms the high demand for Russian food products and opens up new prospects for the further development of the Made in Russia brand in Egypt. The REC pavilion continues to support the promotion of Russian brands, creating opportunities for their popularization among Egyptian consumers.
The pavilion program has been jointly implemented by Russian Export Center and Russian Ministry of Agriculture since 2017. Pavilions have been opened in six countries promising for export including China, Vietnam, Egypt, the UAE, Türkiye and Saudi Arabia.
Companies selected for participation in the program receive support in finding partners and increasing the recognition of their products among end consumers through bloggers and various promotions. The goal of the program is to help businesses increase export sales.
Russian companies can apply to participate in the work of pavilions on My Export digital platform.
