Discover Russia: Beijing will host a fashion show by Russian designers and a presentation and tasting of Russian products

On December 12, a large-scale event under the auspices of the Made in Russia national brand, Discover Russia, will take place at the Russian Embassy in Beijing. It will feature a show of Russian designers, a tasting of products from Russian agricultural companies, and business meetings. The event will be part of the Russia-China Cross-Cultural Years and continues a series of initiatives promoting the Made in Russia brand in China. Russian Export Center (REC, VEB Group) will organize the event. This was announced by REC General Director Veronika Nikishina at a meeting with representatives of the light and creative industries, which took place as part of the 4th Commonwealth of Fashion International Forum.

"Promoting Russian export today involves more than just contracts for raw materials and industrial goods. It also involves integrating our culture, traditions, and creative industries. The Chinese market holds enormous potential for Russian designers, food, and high-quality consumer goods manufacturers. The event in Beijing, held as part of the Cross-Cultural Years, will allow us to demonstrate that Made in Russia is a synonym for quality, innovation, and unique style. We're not just creating trade links, we're building a cultural and economic trust bridge," Veronika Nikishina, General Director, REC.

The event will introduce Chinese audiences to Russia's modern image, its domestic fashion industry, gastronomy and culinary traditions of its various regions.

The show will feature collections from over 20 Russian fashion brands, ranging from small regional brands to large, well-known ones, including Yeletskie Kruzheva, Torzhogskie Zolotoshvei, Nizhegorodskaya Vyshivka, Sofia Yenidunaeva, JM Sudio, Amber Fashion House, Polina Repik, and more.

Business representatives will participate in negotiations with potential partners from China. This will strengthen the position of Russian companies internationally and realize the export potential of creative industries.

Guests will also be offered to "taste Russia" in the truest sense of the word. Tasting sets will include sample products from Miratorg, Belevskaya Pastila, Logika Moloka, Russkiy Krab, United Confectioners, and others. B2B negotiations with the agricultural sector will also be held.

The event will be held as part of a program to promote Russian products under the Made in Russia national brand. The program is coordinated by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade as part of the International Cooperation and Export national project, and operated by the Russian Export Center. Since 2017, the program has helped companies enter new markets and build consumer confidence. The role of the REC's initiatives in expanding the range of Russian export to China was noted at the highest level during the meeting between Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping in 2025.
