On June 8, at the official closing ceremony of the record-breaking indoor rowing race of Russian Export Center (VEB.RF Group) team, REC Head Veronika Nikishina presented certificates of ambassadorship of the Made in Russia national brand to renowned Russian rowers Alexey Svirin and Anton Zarutsky.

Rowing has already become a traditional part of the Made in Russia national brand promotion program. The sports track of the program was launched by the Russian Goods for Champions promotional event within the framework of the International Vladivostok Regatta in 2023.

"The promotion of the national brand is aimed at supporting domestic manufacturers and forming a positive image of Russia on the international arena. Sport, in turn, is a powerful tool of soft power, uniting people and demonstrating the strength and spirit of our country. We are glad to see such eminent athletes becoming the faces of the national brand, inspiring and supporting domestic exports," noted Veronika Nikishina, REC CEO.

The latest REC sports event took place on June 6-8. It was a continuous indoor rowing race – one and a half days, from Friday evening to Sunday morning. REC Group team of more than 60 employees set records in indoor rowing. The REC team managed to achieve two new Russian records in 100 km rowing and in continuous rowing by one team. The REC Group's race also claims a world record for the total duration of continuous rowing. The event took place within the framework of the 64th Big Moscow Regatta – Cup of the Strongest Athletes International Competition.

"It is a great honor to become an ambassador for the Made in Russia brand. This is not just a symbol of quality, but also a reflection of our values, our striving for development and victories. Sport and export are two powerful directions that help Russia strengthen its position in the world," Alexey Svirin, President of the Russian Rowing Federation, Honored Master of Sports, Olympic Champion of the 2004 Athens Games, two-time European Champion, multiple winner of Russian championships.

In August 2024, REC, within the framework of the Russian Rowing Championship, held a regatta under the Made in Russia brand – the REC Group Cup. A tasting of Russian products for representatives of foreign businesses and the public sector was also organized on the sidelines of the event.

"Sport is a language understood all over the world. Through it, we can show the true strength and potential of Russia. Supporting the Made in Russia national brand is an opportunity to contribute to the development of the domestic economy and show the world that Russia can create high-quality and competitive products," Anton Zarutsky, Vice-President of the Russian Rowing Federation, Master of Sports of International Class, two-time silver medalist of the European Rowing Championship
