The largest series of specialized construction events, The Big 5 2025, once again brought together leading international suppliers and buyers from the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region. Thirty Russian companies from 17 regions are participating in the event as part REC’s (VEB Group) Made in Russia joint stand. REC organizes approximately 200 meetings with potential commercial partners from the MENA region.
This exhibition annually brings together leading international suppliers and buyers, covering all aspects of the construction industry. From building envelopes and specialized structures to interiors and finishes, The Big 5 2025 offers a wide range of product segments. Particular attention is paid to modern construction tools, personal protective equipment, digital construction products and services, smart systems, modular construction, and solar energy technologies. This diversity makes the exhibition a versatile platform for any company operating in the construction industry and striving for innovation.
The participants at the REC's joint stand include the Volgograd-based Sad Radosti manufacturing company, which received the status of a small technology company in 2025. At the Dubai exhibition, it presented breakthrough shading systems made from a unique woven composite material. This material can withstand extreme temperatures of up to +80°C, aggressive solar radiation, and harsh ultraviolet rays typical for Eastern countries, without corroding or discoloring. Visually, the material resembles natural rattan, which has already attracted interest from architects.
"Our material has already attracted interest from partners in Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Oman. The shading systems were called unique for the region, where traditional materials, whether natural or synthetic, quickly deteriorate under the sun and lose their properties. Composite, on the other hand, demonstrates exceptional durability, making it ideal for pergolas, awnings, and fences," Olga Ermachenko, Director, Sady Radosti. In addition to shading systems, the company also presented composite light displays.
Another participant is Siberian Construction Solutions, a company from the Novosibirsk Region specializing in manufacturing, rental, and sale of vacuum grippers for installing glass and sandwich panels weighing up to 2 tons. The company prides itself on its high level of localization. 90% of its components are manufactured in Russia. Their unique silicone seal (unlike the rubber seals used by competitors) allows the equipment to operate reliably in a wide temperature range—from -50 to +50 °C.
"Of course, there are similar equipment to ours on the market, including from larger Russian and Chinese manufacturers. However, Chinese solutions, while cheaper, are often inferior in quality and do not include a warranty or service. We offer a completely domestic design with a unique silicone seal, which guarantees reliability and durability, critical for high-precision installation work in any climate," Renat Serazetdinov, CEO.
Yekaterinburg-based Optimus City presented a patented ceiling system, a transformable metal ceiling, the first of its kind in the world. It can be used at railway stations, airports, shopping and business centers, government buildings, and public spaces. According to the company, participation in the Big 5 exhibition marks its first experience at an international event. The young brand faces the ambitious goal of entering the international market.
VPK construction and industrial machinery plant, a Moscow Region company specializing in the development and production of high-quality equipment for the construction and industrial sectors, is another participant in Big 5 Global. The stand features products including poker and plate vibrators, operating on 42V and 220V or 380V power supplies. The product range also includes frequency converters for vibrators, which regulate the power supply frequency in accordance with the technical requirements of the equipment. The company prides itself on its full-cycle manufacturing process, ensuring a high level of quality control at every stage.
"Our products are used by thousands of companies in Russia and abroad, which confirms their high quality and reliability. We are confident in every product we manufacture, as they undergo rigorous quality control and testing. Having our own service department guarantees our customers prompt assistance and a high level of service," Vladislav Kubasov, CEO.
