The national program for promoting products abroad under the Made in Russia brand offers Siberian companies unique opportunities to strengthen their positions in the global market. The prospects and success stories of promoting under the national brand were the key topic of the expert session dedicated to How National Brands Become International Favorites, which took place on August 28 at the Eurasian Export Forum in Novosibirsk.
Session participants discussed successful branding strategies for introducing Russian products to foreign markets, integrating the Made in Russia national brand into a company's marketing strategy, and the effective use of modern technologies for data analysis in marketing and identifying new niches.
It should be noted that the Made in Russia program is being implemented as part of the International Cooperation and Export national project coordinated by Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, while the primary functions for supporting and implementing the program are entrusted to Russian Export Center (REC, VEB Group). Russian Export Center has been promoting the Made in Russia national brand since 2017.
In 2025, the government, at the instruction of the President, adopted an updated Made in Russia program, expanding the range of available promotional tools. New formats emerged, such as Made in Russia festivals and fairs, which help introduce products from food to children's goods and handicrafts to foreign buyers, online streaming, and much more.
"Our goal is to highlight reliable manufacturers and promote high-quality, competitive products abroad. Over the past three years, more than 3,700 unique companies have benefited from the program's support, and businesses have managed to secure export contracts worth over 420 billion rubles. We have several more events planned for the end of the year, including in the UAE and Thailand," Maria Arkhipova, Director of REC's Made in Russia program.
The first step companies take to establish themselves in foreign markets is to obtain the Made in Russia certificate, which confirms the quality, reliability, uniqueness, environmental friendliness, and organic origin of their products.
Thus, within the framework of the session, Made in Russia certificates were received by the developer of integrated solutions in prefabricated construction Avista Module Engineering, the dynamically developing manufacturer of oil and fat products Promprodukt, individual entrepreneur Yakubovich S.G., the manufacturer of laundry soap Aventa and the manufacturer of fire-protective materials PO Khimtsentr.
Furthermore, presentations from Novosibirsk companies that have already been certified and are successfully using the brand in their promotions were of particular practical interest to the audience. Vega-Absolut, a major microelectronics manufacturer; Sibagropribor Trading House, a developer of analytical instruments for monitoring the quality of agricultural raw materials and food products; and MediKraft, a manufacturer of contact media for instrumental diagnostics, shared their stories.
