Exporters from the Northwestern Federal District Join the Made in Russia Brand Promotion Program

On September 24, a plenary discussion dedicated to Global Prospects for Domestic Companies: The Made in Russia National Brand was held in Svetlogorsk, Kaliningrad Region, as part of the awards ceremony for the winners of the regional stage of the All-Russian Exporter of the Year award among companies from the Northwestern Federal District.

The event, which brought together representatives of government, business, and the expert community, focused on the strategic importance of the national brand for strengthening the position and increasing the recognition of Russian goods in global markets. Participants also discussed current state support measures provided by federal ministries and identified priority areas for further development of domestic export, while exporters shared their strategies for entering foreign markets. Regional support measures for export-oriented companies were also discussed.

In the face of increasing global competition, the role of national brands is steadily growing, becoming a powerful tool for fostering a unified, positive image of the country and effectively supporting businesses. The Made in Russia national umbrella brand is destined to become such a driver, facilitating the international expansion of domestic companies.

Alexander Molodtsov, Vice President of Russian Export Center (REC, VEB Group), emphasized the importance of a systematic approach to promotion. According to him "over 200 companies in the Northwestern Federal District have already joined the promotion program under the Made in Russia national brand and received the corresponding certificate. But Made in Russia is more than just a label. It's a comprehensive promotional tool, a symbol of trust, quality, and innovation that we promote in international markets. Our goal is to make it a recognizable symbol of reliability and competitiveness, allowing our exporters to skip the hassle of proving basic quality and instead immediately begin communicating the benefits of their products".

In turn, Artur Galiullin, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Licensing in Foreign Trade at the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, emphasized export diversification and support for high-tech manufacturing.

"We see enormous potential in exporting Russian industrial products, from mechanical engineering to chemicals and IT solutions. For us, the Made in Russia brand is becoming a symbol of high-tech products and reliability. The government provides a wide range of support tools, from preferential loans to reimbursement of certification and patent application costs abroad. We are focused on developing an environment in which Russian products can successfully compete even in the most demanding global market segments".

The discussion focused on regional aspects of export activities. Konstantin Shishkov, Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Industry, and Trade of the Kaliningrad Region, spoke about promoting Kaliningrad companies in foreign markets.

Sergey Lyutarevich, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Za Rodinu Group of Companies, also shared his export experience. Georgy Dykhanov, Chairman of the Kaliningrad Regional Branch of Delovaya Rossiya, shared his business perspective on support measures.
