From September 2nd to 5th, Istanbul hosted one of the largest international food and beverage exhibitions, World Food Istanbul 2025. For the third time, the exhibition of Russian companies under the Made in Russia brand brought together over 30 manufacturers from 16 regions of the country, with the support of Russian Export Center (REC, VEB Group). Over the four days, 508 meetings were held, with a total potential revenue of $38.62 million. The joint stand was also visited by companies from the Middle East, Asia, and Europe, including Iraq, Iran, India, Serbia, the Philippines, Kuwait, and Egypt.
World Food Istanbul is the leading international food industry exhibition, annually bringing together key market players from Türkiye and abroad. For over 30 years, Istanbul has hosted the event, providing food manufacturers and suppliers with the opportunity to showcase their products and establish business contacts. During this time, the exhibition has established itself as one of the main platforms for exchanging experiences and finding new partners in the food industry.
The Russian stand demonstrated a wide range of domestic products: from pulses, corn starch, and seafood delicacies to unique gastronomic offerings such as Adyghe salt, herbal teas, pickles, cheeses, and confectionery. Visitors also took particular interest in the biodegradable, disposable, eco-friendly wooden tableware, modern baby food, multigrain bars, and dietary supplements containing omega-3 and collagen.
Istanbul participants were introduced to products from Russian companies, including Resurs Group, one of Russia's largest agricultural complexes. The high quality of Resurs' products is valued in many countries, including Türkiye, the Middle East, the CIS, and Africa. At World Food Istanbul 2025, Resurs presented its sunflower oil, wheat, and flour. Company representatives held talks with their partners and established a number of new business contacts.
"Resurs Group regularly participates in REC events. Thanks to the Center's organizational support, we are able to participate in major international events, maintain and increase export volumes, and establish the necessary collaboration to expand cooperation and collaboration with foreign partners. This offers excellent opportunities to strengthen our presence in the global market and strengthen the position of Russian agricultural and food producers. We highly value the REC's comprehensive support," representative of Resurs Group.
Khuazhev Aslan, who has been producing natural Adyghe salt and traditional Caucasian products since 2002, also participated in the exhibition. His company held a significant number of targeted meetings with representatives of trading companies and distributors from Türkiye, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan. The main focus was on the Adyghe salt line and Adjika Ulyapskaya —products that combine authenticity and naturalness.
"Partners noted the uniqueness of the formula and its competitive price. According to preliminary estimates, the potential for the contracts and joint projects under discussion exceeds $1 million. Participation in the event was an important step in expanding our export reach and strengthening the position of Adyghe products in international markets," exporter's representatives.
Tsaritsyn Pickles presented a range of pickled vegetables (cucumbers, tomatoes, cabbage with natural spices and herbs), tomato sauces, and fruit jams. The products are distinguished by the purity of their ingredients, the quality of their raw materials, and their commitment to Russian traditions—no artificial additives or synthetic ingredients. Since 2018, Tsaritsyn Pickles has been exporting to the CIS, Israel, China, and other countries. At the exhibition, the company held approximately 30 meetings with distributors and retail chains, including leading Turkish companies.
"The organizers' high level of professionalism and the thoughtful approach to each stage made the event one of the best. Special attention was paid to the consultants and translators, ensuring smooth communication despite language barriers. Our pickled vegetables generated a keen interest due to their quality and unique flavor. Participation gave us the opportunity to expand our customer base and establish strong business relationships with Turkish companies. We plan to expand our export to the Persian Gulf market and obtain Halal certificates," representatives of Tsaritsyn Pickles.
