Gorny-TsOT, founded in 2003 on the initiative of the Russian Ministry of Labor as part of a program to improve working conditions, manufactures such devices.
The company has been developing its export business since 2023, with deliveries already being made to Kazakhstan.
The devices are certified in Russia and explosion-proof, while the company's proprietary digital platform, DUSTGAS, enables data visualization and the creation of smart environmental monitoring maps. The entire production process, from the device design stage to strict quality control of the final product, is handled by the company. All developments are patented and in mass production.
The uniqueness of Gorny-TsOT's products is confirmed by the Made in Russia certificate, which is part of the eponymous program for the comprehensive promotion of Russian goods to foreign markets as part of the national brand.
The program is coordinated by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the main functions for its implementation, in accordance with the International Cooperation and Export national project, are assigned to Russian Export Center (REC, VEB.RF). Made in Russia offers free certification for manufacturers of non-resource non-energy goods and services. Certification can be obtained based on five criteria: quality, reliability, uniqueness, environmental friendliness, and organic origin. The company just needs to submit an application on the REC website, attaching the required documents electronically, and sign the automatically generated form.
Having received the bird-like-styled mark, Gorny-TsOT plans to actively utilize REC support measures, in particular, by searching for a buyer abroad, as well as participating in foreign business missions and Made in Russia exhibitions.
"Obtaining the Made in Russia mark is a significant strategic asset for our company. It objectively confirms the Russian origin of our product, which in today's environment is a key factor in trust for consumers and partners. This not only strengthens our position in the domestic market but also opens up new export opportunities. It is noteworthy that the company now has two birds: one is the symbol of the Made in Russia brand, and another is company’s own logo.
"Orange canary is our symbol. It connects our history in coal mines with our modern focus on UAV engine production. Birds symbolize sensitivity and the ability to warn of danger, as they did in the mines of the past. Similarly, our products today promptly identify threats to workers' health. This image reflects our commitment to the highest occupational safety standards, respect for tradition, and a focus on innovation," Andrey Bukreev.
