Far Eastern exporters conquer foreign markets with the Made in Russia quality mark

The Far East is demonstrating a steadily growing export potential, and more and more companies in the region are becoming holders of Made in Russia certificates, confirming the high quality and competitiveness of their products.

The program, which is implemented by the Russian Export Center (REC, VEB.RF Group), provides exporters with comprehensive support, opening up new opportunities for entering international markets.

“27 companies from seven Far Eastern regions export products to foreign countries under the Made in Russia brand. The geographical location and unique specifics of the Far East open up wide opportunities for exporting products to the Asia-Pacific region and beyond. The program implemented by REC is an important additional mechanism for supporting entrepreneurs who work in the Far Eastern Federal District, including in the territories of advanced development, the free port of Vladivostok,” Alexey Chekunkov, Minister for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic.

Thanks to the joint efforts of the Russian Export Center and federal agencies, Far Eastern exporters get all the necessary tools for successful approaching international markets and promoting their products under the Made in Russia quality mark.

“We see that Far Eastern companies actively use the opportunities provided by the Made in Russia program. Obtaining a certificate is an important step that allows them not only to confirm the quality of their products, but also to gain access to a wide range of support measures developed by REC to promote Russian goods abroad. Last year, 4,485 services were provided to companies from the Far Eastern Federal District by REC, and 1,685 enterprises received support," Veronika Nikishina, General Director of REC.

Made in Russia certificate is already paying dividends to Far Eastern companies. For example, Divia-Pharm, a manufacturer of biologically active additives from ecologically clean Far Eastern wild brown seaweed (Laminaria Japonica), growing in the coastal waters of Sakhalin Island and collected by divers, after receiving the certificate, actively began negotiations with potential buyers at festivals and fairs in the cities of Shenyang and Harbin, PRC.

Aleut, Arctic boat manufacturer from the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, chose to obtain the Made in Russia certificate as the first step in entering foreign markets, confirming the reliability of its products.

Gusto, jam manufacturer from Khabarovsk Krai, is another company that has successfully passed the Made in Russia certification. This quality mark allows the company to position itself abroad on a par with leading Russian food brands.

Baltika-Khabarovsk plant (beer-based beverages), Vetli Vostok LLC (flour and confectionery products) from Birobidzhan not only obtained certificates, but also regularly participate in the Made in Russia festivals and fairs. The companies are residents of demonstration and tasting pavilions in China and Vietnam (Baltika-Khabarovsk). These promotion tools have repeatedly proven their effectiveness. Regular participation in B2B meetings within the framework of festivals is a guarantee of new contracts.

To receive a free Made in Russia certificate, companies must submit an application on the REC website and attach the required documents. The REC program is implemented in partnership with Roskachestvo, Rospatent, Rosstandart, Rosaccreditation, which provides guarantees of quality and protection of intellectual rights for all participants in the voluntary certification system.
