From April 7 to 9, Marrakech, Morocco, will host continent's largest IT exhibition, GITEX Africa Morocco 2026. Russian Export Center (REC, VEB.RF Group) will organize a joint stand under the Made in Russia national brand.
This year, with the support from Russian Export Center, more than 20 companies from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tatarstan, the Perm Krai, Novosibirsk, and other regions will travel to Morocco. The delegation is comprised of developers of solutions in AI, drones, cybersecurity, and fintech.
Key participants include holders of Made in Russia certificates:
· SpetsPromDesign LLC (Ryazan): presents a unique cloud-based access control and management system (ACMS), Ethernet relays, and monitoring controllers.
· Telcor LLC (Moscow): presents the core of an operator-class mobile network—a key element of modern telecommunications infrastructure.
Participating in Made in Russia joint stands allows companies to significantly reduce costs. Russian Export Center (REC) will co-finance space rental, stand construction, delivery of exhibition samples, and, most importantly, organize targeted negotiations with potential partners from Africa and the Middle East.
Exporters can find opportunities to participate in international exhibitions and business missions through the Events service on My Export platform, which allow to:
· instantly select events, including filtering them by industry, market, date and title;
· evaluate the benefits: the card for each event indicates costs and volume eligible for co-financing by REC;
· meet deadlines: events are displayed in chronological order with clear deadlines for submissions.
As noted by Russian Export Center, GITEX Africa is an effective gateway for Russian developers to markets in the Global South, where demand for innovation and cloud technologies continues to grow rapidly.
The demand for Russian technologies in the African market is confirmed by last year's results, when Russian Export Center organized over 40 targeted meetings for participants of the Made in Russia exhibition at GITEX Africa. Representatives of region's largest industry associations, including ADD, APEBI, and AUSIM, participated in the meetings.
In turn, Alexey Andreev, Russia's Trade Representative in Morocco, clarified that Russian companies can offer their African partners a wide range of solutions, from proprietary operating systems and telecommunications equipment to smart turnstiles and conference calling software.
"We provide not just products, but entire digital ecosystems capable of ensuring technological sovereignty and accelerating economic development," Alexey Andreev.
