Russian Export Center (REC, VEB Group) summarized the results of the first joint stand with domestic businesses under the Made in Russia brand at the international Egypt Energy Show-2026 (EGYPES-2026), which took place in Cairo from March 30 to April 1.
Presented for the first time at the largest industry event in North Africa and the Middle East, Russian stand brought together 12 companies from Tyumen, Izhevsk, the Moscow region, Tomsk, St. Petersburg, and Moscow, manufacturing a variety of products from control devices and hydraulic wrenches to pumping equipment and automation systems for industrial facilities.
Event’s business program confirmed Egyptian market's strong interest in Russian technologies and equipment. Russian companies held approximately 300 meetings with potential customers and partners. The total export potential, estimated following the talks, amounted to almost 2 billion rubles.
Furthermore, Russian manufacturers signed their first export agreements with Egyptian companies. The documents formalize the parties' mutual obligations and pave the way for systematic deliveries.
"The energy sector and related industries, according to various estimates, account for up to 15% of Egypt's GDP. Aside from limited participation in a number of oil and gas production projects and the construction of the El Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant, Russia and Russian technologies do not virtually present in Egypt's energy sector. This year, for the first time, Russian companies participated together in one of the main energy exhibitions in the Middle East and North Africa – EGYPES-2026. Russian solutions created considerable interest among both public sector representatives and private businesses. Participation in such significant exhibitions is a key element in developing trade and economic cooperation, scaling up Russian business, and expanding Russia's presence in friendly countries," Ruslan Arsamirzaev, REC representative in Egypt.
