Russian Flavor in Hanoi: Russian National Pavilion Helps Vietnamese Prepare for the New Year

February 6, 2026

On the Lunar New Year Eve, Tet (Tết Nguyên Đán), choosing quality products for the holiday table and finding memorable gifts become top priorities for millions of Vietnamese shoppers. In Hanoi, the Russian Goods Corner in WinMart retail stores has become a true magnet during this period. The project, implemented as part of the Russian National Pavilion, offers consumers a convenient shopping experience based on one space, many options concept.

Russian Goods Corner is a specialized shopping area featuring carefully selected products from the pavilion's residents. Here, consumers can find everything from traditional groceries and sausages to authentic souvenirs like nesting and tumbler dolls. Specialized areas are currently open in the popular WinMart Royal City and WinMart Vincom Long Biên shopping centers, ensuring the availability of Russian goods for Hanoi residents and visitors during the holiday rush.

Consumers highly appreciate format convenience. Ngoc Lam District resident Ms. Minh Anh notes that previously, finding high-quality imported products and gifts required visiting numerous stores. Now, at the Russian Goods Corner, one can buy premium quality products in aesthetic packaging at once.

The Hanoi project is part of a global network of Russian national pavilions operating under the auspices of Russian Export Center (REC, VEB Group) in key friendly countries, including China, Egypt, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, India, Jordan, Vietnam, and Türkiye. The program is aimed at the systematic promotion of domestic non-commodity products abroad. The pavilions serve not only as a professional hub where foreign buyers can treat product samples, hold tastings, and conclude direct contracts with manufacturers, but also as an effective platform for direct B2C sales.

For Russian export companies, Russian National Pavilions offer easy access to international shelves. Program participants can enjoy ready-made infrastructure, including warehouse storage, as well as the possibility to participate in marketing campaigns aimed at promoting products from pavilion resident manufacturers. An example of this support is the current large-scale promotion in Vietnam. From January 1 to February 17, WinMart is offering discounts of up to 20% on the entire range of Russian products, significantly increasing the recognition of domestic brands on the Lunar New Year Eve.

Russian Export Center (REC, VEB.RF Group) is a government institution that supports non-resource and non-energy exports. It provides companies from various industries with both financial and non-financial support at all stages of entering international markets, including as part of the International Cooperation and Export national project. Most services offered by the REC Group are available online on My Export digital platform. Businesses have access to training on all aspects of export activities through the REC Export School, part of the Group. REC is also responsible for the key functions of supporting and implementing the Made in Russia program.
