The digital and technological transformation of industry in line with the Vision 2030 strategy opens up unprecedented opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation between Russia and Saudi Arabia, said Veronika Nikishina, head of the Russian Export Center (REC, VEB.RF Group), at the plenary session of INNOPROM.
"The Vision 2030 strategy calls for economic diversification with an increased share of non-resource revenues to create a more sustainable growth model. Russia is moving in this direction, and domestic manufacturers can offer a variety of advanced solutions for integrating into such a strategy," Veronika Nikishina.
The most promising areas of partnership include the "smart cities" being built by the Kingdom and the associated IT infrastructure. Russian companies offer competitive solutions in cybersecurity, resource accounting systems, artificial intelligence for urban traffic management, and modular data centers, the head of the Russian Export Center emphasized.
In addition to traditional oil and gas service technologies, Russia is also ready to offer nuclear and renewable energy technologies. The Saudi Arabian side is currently negotiating these with the state corporation Rosatom and other Russian companies.
"Agricultural technologies and food security offer enormous potential, and we suggest seeking partners. We see interest in Russian solutions for water treatment and desalination. Russian innovations in organic farming are in demand, as are developments in crop protection, biofertilizers, and irrigation systems," Veronika Nikishina.
High-tech transport is also in demand in the Kingdom, including unmanned systems for agriculture and infrastructure and traffic monitoring. Russian companies presented these and other flagship solutions at INNOPROM within the framework of Made in Russia joint stand.
Russian Export Center (REC, VEB.RF Group) is a government institution that supports non-resource and non-energy exports. It provides companies from various industries with both financial and non-financial support at all stages of entering international markets, including as part of the International Cooperation and Export national project. Most services offered by the REC Group are available online on My Export digital platform. Businesses have access to training on all aspects of export activities through the REC Export School, part of the Group. REC is also responsible for the key functions of supporting and implementing the Made in Russia program.
