Municipal teams from Russian regions studied the support tools of Russian Export Center (REC, VEB.RF Group) as part of the Senezh Management Workshop. At the session Export Potential of Territories, REC Vice President Alexander Molodtsov discussed the export support infrastructure REC provides within the context of integrated regional development.
"Company's export potential doesn't emerge at the federal level. It's created in the regions, in a specific city, by a specific entrepreneur. And someone has to push a potential exporter in the right direction so they don't get lost in the system. That's why Russian Export Center and regional Export Support Centers pay special attention to stimulating foreign economic activity at the municipal level," Alexander Molodtsov.
In 2025, REC supported 231 companies from the cities represented at the session. As examples of successful exporters, REC Vice President cited the Vladimir Region (Boiler Plant, winner of the regional Exporter of the Year 2021 competition), the Moscow Region (Pul-Sar, manufacturer of surgical products), the Vologda Region (lumber manufacturer Stimul), the Republic of Crimea (Donuzlav Aquaculture), the Tomsk Region (Sibirsky Kedr eco-factory), and the Republic of Karelia (mushrooms, berries, and other wild plants from Freshberry).
According to Alexander Molodtsov, as a development institution, Russian Export Center provides financial and non-financial support to current and potential exporters to develop their foreign economic activity. Export support centers (ESCs) in Russia's regions focus on small and medium-sized businesses, depending on their regional location.
REC Vice President also spoke to session participants about the benefits of the Made in Russia program for the comprehensive promotion of Russian goods and services abroad, its bonus program, the services on My Export digital platform, and cross-border payment solutions from the REC Group and its subsidiary, EXIMBANK OF RUSSIA JSC.
Russian Export Center (REC, VEB.RF Group) is a government institution that supports non-resource, non-energy export. It provides companies from various industries with both financial and non-financial assistance at all stages of entering international markets, including as part of the International Cooperation and Export national project. Most services offered by the REC Group are available online on My Export digital platform. REC is responsible for the primary functions of supporting and implementing the Made in Russia program. The REC Group includes the Russian Agency for Export Credit and Investment Insurance (EXIAR), EXIMBANK OF RUSSIA, and the Export School.
