Russian government has updated the procedure for holding the All-Russian Exporter of the Year award

March 3, 2026

Russian Government Resolution of February 28, 2026, approved changes to the procedures for the All-Russian Exporter of the Year award. The document introduces updated competition regulations, updates the list of nominations, and establishes a new official name for the award—Exporter of the Year. Made in Russia. The changes involve merging the competition with the Made in Russia national promotion program. They are aimed at improving the support system for non-resource, non-energy export and increasing the visibility of Russian companies in foreign markets.

"Combining the competition with the Made in Russia national brand allows us to focus on the quality of our products. The inclusion of information technology, creative industries (fashion, film, animation, beauty), and tourism in the updated lineup of key categories will highlight the development of new regional export potential through new products. Today, these are precisely the economic sectors where success is determined not by a company's capitalization, but by the uniqueness of its business idea. This approach is an opportunity to recognize the achievements of those Russian exporters who, alongside large enterprises, make a significant contribution to achieving the national goal outlined by the Russian President to increase non-resource exports," Maxim Reshetnikov, Russian Minister of Economic Development.

"Today, export is becoming a source of national pride for Russia, demonstrating our success in the most high-tech and creative fields. Integrating the Made in Russia promotion program into the competition procedures gives its participants a significant priority and additional weight in the final results. We are creating a system in which the award winner and program participant status work together as a single mechanism, helping businesses build an impeccable reputation to expand their presence in foreign markets and earn the trust of buyers. Companies will be able to apply for the award in the next two weeks. We will definitely inform you of the exact start date of the application campaign," Veronika Nikishina, General Director, Russian Export Center (REC, VEB.RF Group).
