Leather accessories manufacturer from the Tomsk region has quadrupled production and launched export under the Made in Russia brand

SHIK Manufacturing Company, a manufacturer of premium genuine leather goods from the Tomsk region, successfully passed certification and received the Made in Russia certificate in the Reliability category from Russian Export Center (REC, VEB.RF Group). This achievement has become a catalyst for the company, allowing it not only to quadruple its production capacity by 2025 but also to sign its first export contracts in the Middle East. SHIK has confidently cemented its status as one of the largest tanneries in Siberia. Founded in 2021, the company has demonstrated impressive growth. This year, it opened a new, high-tech 500-square-meter workshop, quadrupling its production capacity. SHIK specializes in the premium B2B segment, fulfilling custom corporate orders of any complexity according to client specifications. The range of exclusive products made from genuine leather includes: Business accessories: garment bags, vanity cases, diaries, boxes and card holders; Unique gift sets: kits for hunters and fishermen (decorated flasks, braided decanters, gift skewers and board games); Souvenir products: keychains, key holders and belts. According to management, since 2023, having encountered an information vacuum when attempting to independently enter foreign markets, the company has begun actively working with Russian Export Center (REC) through the Tomsk Region Export Support Center. The company's breakthrough came with its participation in the international Gifts & Lifestyle Middle East exhibition in Dubai in November 2025. For this exhibition, SHIK developed a unique line of Islamic-themed products: leather prayer rugs and paintings engraved with verses from the Quran. "After the exhibition, we signed our first export contract, and we are currently negotiating with potential clients from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and China. Competition in these markets is minimal, as we are focused on premium, customized products," company management. Thanks to partnership with Russian Export Center (REC), which includes the use of My Export platform since 2023 to find buyers and support the negotiation process, the company has been able to gain extensive knowledge in foreign economic activity. Obtaining the Made in Russia certificate was a fundamental step for SHIK. "I think it's like an athlete wearing the flag of the country they represent. We represent Russia in international markets, and now we're walking with the flag! This gives us status, recognition, and the opportunity to present our products under a single national brand," company management. Company's plans for the near future include maximizing global market reach, with a focus on further expanding its supply geography to Islamic countries and China. The Made in Russia mark confirms the high standards and quality of products developed and manufactured in the Russian Federation. To receive a free Made in Russia certificate, a company does not need to undergo additional checks by Russian Export Center. The certificate is awarded based on five key criteria: quality, reliability, uniqueness, environmental friendliness, and organic origin.
