Russian Export Center (REC, VEB.RF Group) held its first meeting of the year with business associations. An updated plan of events for the Made in Russia program was presented. According to the plan, international festivals and fairs under the unified Made in Russia national brand will be held in two cities in China (Beijing and Harbin) and in Vietnam (Hanoi). A business-to-business event is also planned in Thailand. The festival and fair in Saudi Arabia has been postponed until the situation in the region stabilizes.
The program also includes a series of negotiations between Russian exporters and foreign importers. These include procurement sessions titled Made in Russia. The World's Choice. These sessions will be held in the Pskov and Rostov regions, St. Petersburg, and the Republic of Tatarstan. Regional tracks will be held in Samara, St. Petersburg, Khabarovsk, Ryazan, and Sochi.
The meeting was attended by Veronika Nikishina, General Director, Russian Export Center; Alexey Repik, Chairman of Delovaya Rossiya; Alexander Shokhin, President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP); Alexander Kalinin, President of Opora Rossii; Vladimir Padalko, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Viktor Vekselberg, Head of the Expert Group for Export of Goods and Services, Business Climate Transformation Program, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Renova Group; and Vice Presidents of REC and business associations.
"In 2026, Russian Export Center (REC) will continue to actively implement the Made in Russia program, promoting Russian products in foreign markets under the national brand. It's important to structure our collaboration so that promotional activities in foreign countries, including the BRICS countries, are unified by a common approach. To this end, we regularly 'synchronize our watches,' enabling us to consistently remove emerging barriers and create new opportunities for exporters. The unified Made in Russia brand not only increases recognition of domestic products but also creates a synergistic effect, strengthening the position of our manufacturers. Importantly, in the face of geopolitical challenges, the role of business associations is growing, as the task of coordinating government and business efforts to develop new export niches and expand geographic reach is even more pressing. And here, the full range of support tools provided by the REC Group comes to the aid of entrepreneurs," Veronika Nikishina, REC General Director.
"The implementation of the Made in Russia program embodies a crucial value proposition, fostering strong emotional connections with the target audience through positive references to product quality, environmental friendliness, and affordability. Moreover, its development must be underpinned by the capabilities of digital platform solutions that can provide foreign buyers with access to a virtually endless supply of Russian goods, scale up Russian production facilities in demand abroad, create a seamless door-to-door supply chain, and much more. Thanks to the close collaboration between Russian Export Center, business associations, and thousands of energetic entrepreneurs, the brand is already becoming a true symbol of innovation, reliability, and competitiveness. Our primary goal is not only to sow the seeds but also to ensure proper care so that the Made in Russia brand becomes an integral part of the global cultural heritage," Alexey Repik, Chairman of Delovaya Rossiya.
RSPP President Alexander Shokhin noted the highly effective interaction between the business community and export development and support institutions, including in addressing issues related to cross-border payments.
"Thanks to the advanced payment solutions by Russian Export Center and Eximbank of Russia, entrepreneurs gain access to flexible, transparent, and technologically advanced tools ideally suited to the realities of exporting. This not only increases the trust of partners abroad but also stimulates growth in the non-resource sector. I am confident that the further development of these products will strengthen the REC Group's position as a pan-Russian export finance hub," Head of RSPP.
According to Alexander Kalinin, president of Opora Rossii, the Made in Russia program stimulates the development of foreign economic activity for small and medium-sized businesses.
"Our collaboration allows us to timely verify the needs of small companies regarding support for foreign economic activity across all REC support measures, including the creation of relevant new ones. In this way, we create the preconditions for increasing the number of SMEs engaged in exports and imports.”
Vladimir Padalko, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, noted the fruitful collaboration between Russian Export Center Group and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in promoting domestic products abroad under the unified Made in Russia national brand. Hundreds of organizations affiliated with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation participate in the program's festivals and display their products in national pavilions. By the end of 2025, 35% of certificates of origin for goods had been issued through the joint service on My Export platform.
"This year, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Russian Export Center are considering increasing the share of such certificates to 50%. This year, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry will also continue to submit proposals for improving the Regional Export Standard (RES 3.0)," Vice President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
"The Made in Russia program helps address the issue of raw materials export in favor of high-value-added products. Adapting conditions and mechanisms to stimulate domestic raw material processing is fundamental to the competitiveness of Russian products in export markets," Viktor Vekselberg, head of the Export of Goods and Services Expert Group, Business Climate Transformation Program, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Renova Group.
